KARACHI: Significant development has been seen in Shahzeb Khan’s murder case as reports revealed finalisation of a confidential deal with the murderers’ family through a Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) elite leader and a bureaucrat, Sabhago Khan Jatoi.
Sabhago Khan Jatoi played the role of a bridge in finalisation of the deal between the families of the victim and the murderer besides performing transferred compensation amount reportedly up to Rs150 million into the bank account of Shahzeb’s father, Aurangzeb Khan, Dunya News reported.
The news channel quoted the sources that Sabhago Khan Jatoi was not only involved in the compensation deal but also transferred the cash of Rs 150 million to the Aurangzeb Khan’s account as well as handing over foreign property of Rs 50 million worth.
On his significant part in the activity, the former education secretary was awarded via an important post in Liaquat Jatoi’s, the father of Shahrukh Jatoi, cement factory.
It should be mentioned that the parents of Shahzeb Khan had pardoned Shahrukh Jatoi for murdering his son claiming regardless of any compensation for the sake of Allah and submitted the copy of settlement in the Sindh High Court.
However, the parties failed to remove the objections of the SHC as the court asked the family of Shahzeb Khan to file the complete documents necessary to proceed with their pleas.
On the other hand, all the legal heirs individually stated that they waived the right of Qisas and Diyat and pleaded to the court to acquit the convicts.
