ISLAMABAD: Outgoing President Asif Ali Zardari is likely not to face the cases that weren’t open because of exemption as the situation is not the same between two eminent political parties as in the past.
British Radio reveals that the biggest political parties Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) don’t have hard feelings against one another, as it used to be in the past. PPP made use of reconciliation policies and Nawaz government too is following the footsteps.
Asif Ali Zardari has earlier ensured his full support to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. The outgoing President of Pakistan faces 12 different cases, out of which he was buried by the court in 8 of them. He is still alleged in 4 references by accountability bureau.
The others alleged in the case are either dead or given clean chit from the court. The people who said to be involved include former Prime minister and wife of Asif Ali Zardari, Benazir Bhutto and her mother Nusrat Bhutto.
Prominent lawyer S M Zafar said that Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is set to retire in December but there are no chances that the judiciary gets united. Thus it will be easier for the outgoing president Asif Ali Zardari to get himself bury from the cases. Also it can’t be denied that he may go abroad and lead his party from there.
