BRASILIA: Brazil on Monday demanded a prompt, written explanation from Washington on reports that it spied on President Dilma Rousseff, saying such behavior would be “unacceptable.”
The interception of Internet data from Rousseff, revealed by O Globo TV on Sunday, if proven, “represents an unacceptable and unallowable violation of Brazilian sovereignty,” Foreign Minister Luis Figueiredo said.
