LAHORE: Pakistan’s Punjab government has removed 279 traffic wardens from their posts on Sunday who were involved in submitting fake documents and bribery.
At least 279 traffic wardens have been removed from their posts over providing fake documents and bribery amounts for permanency in jobs, Chief Traffic Officer Sohail Chaudhry said.
The official from Punjab’s traffic division said that strict action has been taken against the convicts promoting activities against merit.
On the other hand, the dismissed traffic wardens protested against decision of the authorities and demanded instant restoration of their posts.
It should be mentioned, Punjab government scrutinizing the documents of their employees in order to bring eligible individuals up.
