ISLAMABAD: Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) officials have rejected the reports for closure of electricity supply from Qadirpur power plant earlier announced by the Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif.
Earlier, Pakistan Federal Minister for Water and Power, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, had announced for increase in load shedding duration due to the closure of Qadirpur Power Plant due to technical issues and expressed fear for increase in load shedding up to 2 to 3 hours daily.
OGDCL officials recently rejected the the federal minister’s claim as electricity supply is continues as per its regular schedule and they are not facing any technical problem.
The officials clarified that the reports regarding supply closure due to disconnection of gas supply is baseless and the plant is generating and providing electricity properly.
The recent development made by the OGDCL officials’ via their statement has raised several questions over information system of the federal minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif as well as consumers are seeking answers for the announcement of increment in load shedding duration.
