ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid said that federal government has no problem in commencing dialogue with Taliban.
The information minister clarified the stance of Nawaz Sharif-led government by saying that there is not an issue to hold talks with any member or group or representatives of Taliban.
While being interviewed on local TV channel, Rashid said that Pakistan’s federal government wants to eliminate terrorism in all dimension but through peaceful talks rather than using any force.
Pervaiz Rashid confirmed the involvement of United States of America in talks with Taliban, saying that US engaged holding dialogue with Taliban at Doha.
It is pertinent to note, Afghanistan’s President Hamid Karzai is present in Islamabad, the federal capital of Pakistan, over two-day official visit for holding wide ranging talks with the Pakistani leadership and seeking their support for peace talks with Taliban.
