PESHAWAR: As Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) loses out national assembly seat on NA-1 Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak gives hope to young supporters of party.
NA-1 was being considered as the crucial seat as it was left by PTI chairman, Imran Khan. PTI had fielded a bit unknown candidate Badshah Gull against Awami National Party’s Ghulam Bilour.
“What a big thing O you youths of PTI if we lost to a 5-party alliance on NA-1! We have defeated Fazlur Rehman on NA-27 alone,” Khattak says on his Facebook message after failure in the polls.
Some insiders say that PTI’s failure over some seats is a outcome of internal fissures between Chief Minister and KPK Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser.
