ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released final list of the National Assembly (NA) candidates on Tuesday for upcoming by-election in the country.
Scrutiny process has been completed by the ECP for the nomination papers of candidates contesting for National Assembly (NA) seats in the by-election event in Pakistan.
Total number of the candidates approved for the contest is 216 on 16 contituencies of National Assembly, Dunya TV reported.
According to ECP’s list, 180 nomination papers of the candidates from Punjab province has been approved on 15 NA seats, 27 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, 32 from Balochistan province.
Moreover, ECP has ordered commencement of ballot papers printing for the election scheduled on August 22.
