KARACHI: After a month of spiritual month of Ramadan, Pakistanis are going to celebrate the biggest event of the year as Reut e Hilal Committee pronounce sighting of Shawal or Eid al Fitr 2013 moon.
Ruet e Hilal Committee headed by Mufti Munibur Rehman met at Karachi, the port city of the country. Meteorological and other concerned departments provided technical assistance to the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
Mufti Munibur Rehman announced moon sighting for the month of Shawwal.
Met department had already forecast that moon would be visible in many parts of the country including Jacobad, Mirpurkhas, and Badin.
Due to cloudy weather, moon was not sight-able in Rawalpindi, and Peshawar. Some of the key points regarding the moon sighting are as follow:
- The elite body says Shawwal moon sighted and Eid ul Fitr will be celebrated on Friday.
