ISLAMABAD: Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) booking system has been restored on Tuesday after hours long closure as US based international reservation system shuts down.
US international reservation system outage due to some technical issues resulted in suspension of booking process of airlines in several countries including PIA while the problems lasted about two and a half hours at least.
However, after the restoration of the system, PIA reservation process also been resumed.
Earlier, PIA was continuing the booking and boarding process manually as repairing work was underway for the Sabre system.
The Sabre system is used by more than 300 airlines across the globe and more than 100 airports internationally.
According to Sabre officials, more than 300 million passengers are put on airplanes every year using our technology.
