KARACHI: The elite body of the country will be meeting on Thursday to sight moon for month of Shawwal or Eid ul Fitr.
Ruet e Hilal Committee of Pakistan, official body to pronounce moon sighting of Islamic calendar month, will meet in Karachi for crescent watching.
Eid ul Fitr is considered to be a bless after fasting for a month during Ramadan and avoid eating, drinking and other acts which are allowed in normal days. The Muslims across the globe celebrate three days of Eid ul Fitr in accordance with local traditions and Islamic values.
Met department has forcaste that moon will be visible on Thursday and chances are high that Eid ul Fitr will be observed on Friday. This means people of the country will be having 29 fasting days during the month of Ramadan.
