ISLAMABAD: Pakistanis likely to celebrate upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr right after completion of Holy month of Ramadan with electricity and Compressed Natural Gas supply as the country’s power and energy providing companies signalled.
Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) has decided the continuous provision of electricity during Eid days after receiving direct orders from Ministry of Water and Power.
Eid uf Fitr is likely to be celebrated on August 9 hence uninterrupted electricity will be provided started from evening 6:am till August 11, WAPDA sources said.
On the other side, Sui Southern Gas Company announced the closure of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations for 24 hours from coming Wednesday but the supply will be resumed for continuous three days during Eid festival.
According to SSGC announcement, the decision was taken for facilitating citizens across the province during the Eid timing.
Moreover, sources said that same announcement are expected in other provinces as well in near futures.
