ISLAMABAD: Voting for presidential candidate of Pakistan’s leading political party, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) seemed ‘fruitful’ for Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) in shape of two ministries in federal government.
Matters have been finalised between both political parties for adding two JUI-F members in federal cabinet and two important ministries will be ‘gifted’ by federal ruler PML-N, sources said.
Earlier, JUI-F chief Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman claimed to vote PML-N’s presidential candidate Mamnoon Hussain on unconditional basis instead of demanding any ministry from them.
However, Ministry of Communication has been awarded to JUI-F member and JUI-F chief nominated his prominent leader Akram Durrani for the post while another ministry will be decided afterwards, sources added.
After being unsuccessful to gain confidence from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) provincial government running under Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI), JUI-F was continuously searching its way to get an appropriate position in federal setup which results positive after supporting PML-N candidate in presidential candidate.
It is pertinent to note, PTI is the largest elected political party in KPK while JUI-F is on second position but not included in the provincial setup and play active part as opposition.
