ISLAMABAD: After boycotting the presidential elections, Pakistan Peoples Party has opted for raising its protest in the national assembly over rescheduling of election date.
PPP had decided to boycott the presidential elections raising its concerns of unilateral decision of changing date of the election.
Earlier, the presidential election was scheduled on August 6, which means that it would be the last days of Ramadan, in which most of the people are engaged in performing religious duties. But following an appeal from Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz, the schedule was changed to July 30.
This had prompted PPP to withdraw its candidate Raza Rabbani from the post.
