ISLAMABAD: A highly emotional scene was witnessed at the supreme court of Pakistan, when Inspector General of Islamabad burst into tears over helplessness in registering case against killing of his daughter in law.
“My honour was disgraced and police is not even ready to register the case,” IG Bin Amin said in an emotional tune in the court.
His daughter in law Waheeda Khan was killed on May 19, 2013 in Peshawar. Surprising thing was that an FIR was registered at Shalimar Police Station, Islamabad even though it should have been registered by the University Town police, Peshawar, Dawn reported.
Following his plea to the court, Justice Ejaz Chaudhry observed that the court had no record of your application.
“Inspector General Khyber PakhtoonKhwa has no daring to reject your plea,” the judge further said.
However, after hearing the argument, the case was registered on orders of the court. The police has arrested brother and sister in law of Waheeda in connection of her murder.
