ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has scheduled a high-level meeting today with parliamentarians from the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) on national security and region’s development.
PM Sharif will discuss administrative, development and political affairs of FATA with members of National Assembly and Senate elected, PM office stated.
According to sources, FATA parliamentarians had demanded to call representatives of security agencies in the meeting while PM said that security and military officials are due to present upcoming All Parties’ Conference (APC) to brief on security situation in the Pakistan.
Earlier, Political Secretary to PM Asif Kirmani has invited the FATA members for the meeting and exchanged PM’s wishes to have their concerns raised in the APC.
