PESHAWAR: Prominent leader of Awami National Party (ANP), Ghulam Ahmad Bilour has submitted nomination papers on Sunday for by-election on Peshawar’s national assembly seat.
Ghulam Ahmad Bilour has submitted his nomination papers for upcoming by-election on NA-1 constituency of Peshawar, the capital city of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan.
Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan withdrew his seat on the constituency.
Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released the notification of by-polling in Pakistan, scheduled on August 22 in several constituencies.
While talking to media, Bilour said that negotiations are underway with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) for PK-27 constituency of Mardan.
He alleged that terrorism ratio went up during PTI tenure as several attacks were carried out on security officials and locals.
Former railway minister added that death rate in terrorist activities also surged under current government as compare to our five-year tenure.
Ghulam Ahmad Bilour questioned the ruling party of KPK on surprising silence over drone attacks. He said, “Why PTI is not protesting against drone strikes now and why they are not pressing federal setup on the issue”.
Bilour claimed, “Imran Khan has been trapped by gifting the government of terrorism-hit province to his political party PTI”
