ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has released the notification of by-polling in Pakistan on Friday, scheduled on August 22.
ECP ordered to conduct by-polling in 16 constituencies of National Assembly and 26 of provincial assembly seats.
According to ECP notification, nomination papers of candidates will be submitted from July 3 till July 9 while the papers will be checked during July 11 to July 17.
ECP will hear the appeals received from the candidates regarding their nomination papers from July 23 till July 29.
Candidates will be allowed to receive back their filed papers on July 30 while ECP will announce final name list of the nominees on July 31.
Moreover, ECP directed the political parties to remove flags, banners and poster in 15 days on their expenditures otherwise they will be charged on defiance of the orders.
ECP has sent letters to all chief secretaries for implementation of the orders in all constituencies during by-polling event.
