Fortaleza: Spain on Thursday defeated Italy by 7-6 on dramatic penalty shoot out of International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) Confederation Cup’s second semi final played at Fortaleza.
Spain starts the extra time with aggressive attacks against Italy. Italy was put under pressure by Spanish attacks but somehow they manage to keep the ball away from their goal. Both teams counter attack on each other but none of them could manage to find the net.
Spain manages to keep the ball position in their favor as they did in the first half. Both teams have created the opportunity of scoring but failed to avail. Italy looks under pressure at the dying minutes of the match but manages to survive the 90 minutes of play without conceding a goal.
Now match result will be decided on penalty shot outs.
Now Spain will face defending champion Brazil in the final of FIFA Confederation cup.
