ISLAMABAD: Keeping its words up about stopping corrupt practices in the government machinery, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz seems started taking some practical measures.
The latest is from Shipping ministry where Shipping Minister directs to stop helicopter hiring and taking millions worth fire fighting services.
According to officials, Transparency International, the global watchdog over corruption, has reported irregularities in the contract.
After the report, Kamran Micheal, a minority minister by PML-N has stopped his ministry to go ahead with the chopper and agreement on fire fighting services concluded during last regime.
The services cost about Rs. 8.77 billion, a staggering amount keeping in view of size of the ministry.
