A few days back The News Tribe has reported that with next range of tablets, Apple could also be introducing a mega size tablet, named as iPad Maxi with upto 12.1 inch display.
Now we have been hearing about a unique joint venture of Samsung and Sharp to compete this rumoured, iPad Maxi 12.5 inch.
Samsung has been working on Note 12.2, a mega version of Galaxy Note series with 12.2 inch screen and 2560 x 1600 pixels density.
SamMobile says that Sharp will produce displays for the device, which means it could be a IGZO technology. Besides there will also be the very helpful S Pen, a special feature coming with Galaxy Note devices.
May be the reported good sales of Galaxy Note 8.0 has made the Korean giant to go for a bigger one.
“The Galaxy Note series by Samsung are very popular, special thanks to the SPEN. Everyone likez to draw something and to read and write,” SamMobile said and added that Samsung was hoping to capture every segment through Galaxy Note series.
This device will be helpful in capturing students who like to read and to work on large screen instead of small size devices.
As we mentioned in our post on iPad Maxi “The basic target audience of the device, as rumour factory says, will be students as trend of using tablets is on high in various countries.”
So Galaxy Note 12.2 could go head to head with Apple’s reported iPad Maxi keeping the traditions of smartphone war between the two tech giants.
