PESHAWAR: Just after the assumption of provincial cabinet, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa government has been facing its first daunting challenge of floods across the province.
The most cities include Naushehra, Peshawar and areas along with Kabul River have been facing mid to high level floods, with hundreds have left their places.
According to Pakistan Weather Portal, rain can be heavy with strong winds (>56 km/h) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as well including Peshawar due to the interaction with western winds from June 13/June 14.
South Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and adjoining Balochistan can experience also experience rain. The provincial capital of Balochistan Quetta would remain dry with partly/mostly cloudy skies on June 13 and June 14.
With rivers level get high in upcoming days, the provincial authorities nerves to be tested against their claims to run a ‘model government’ in the province.
