ISLAMABAD: Drone attacks in tribal belt gets attention of the newly elected government as Pakistan conveys its concerns to United States on drone attacks.
In weekly briefing, Foreign Office spokesman Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry says ‘Pakistan has emphatically conveyed to the United States its concerns on drone strikes.’
“Pakistan has raised the issue of drone attacks at different world forums including the United Nations Human Rights Council. We will continue to raise this issue with the US officials at the appropriate forums.”
The spokesman viewed that current wave of the drone attacks were in violation of the sovereignty of Pakistan and international laws.
