Dubai: Looking influenced heavily by hard reports from Indian media, International Cricket Council has removed Pakistan umpire Asad Rauf Champions Trophy’s final.
Asad Rauf, considered to be one of the best cricket umpires, has been the part of ICC’s Champions Trophy 2013. But India media has been consistently indicating him with a reported role, without any solid evidence, in spot fixing in Indian Premier League.
Giving a warm reaction on his removal, former Pakistan Cricketer Amir Suhail was of the view that Pakistan Cricket Board should take firm stand on removal of Asad Rauf.
Asad has been busy doing his task at IPL these days and Pakistan commentators believe that professional excellence of Asad could be born by Indian media.
