Karachi: Rejecting the demand of re-polling in the whole NA-250 constituency, Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has turned down appeal of Muttahida Qaumi Movement.
MQM, which has emerged as the leading elected party from Karachi, has been demanding a re-poll in the whole constituency rather than the re-poll in only 43 polling stations.
Karachi: Amid an array of sit-ins and processions against alleged rigging in Karachi, Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) has reiterated its demand for a re-poll in the metropolitan.
“People’s mandate has been changed,” PTI former general secretary Dr Arif Alvi while attending an appeal to tribunal hearing complaints about polling.
Particularly indicated NA 250, which has been a bone of contention between Muttahida Qaumi Movement and rest of the parties, Dr. Arif alleged that rigging was made in NA 250 and in Karachi.
MQM as well as its rival parties for re-polling in NA 250; however, the difference is latter ones are demanding re-polling in all the constituencies of the city.
