Peshawar: After reaching an agreement over formation of the government in Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa, Pervez Khattak will serve as next chief minister of the province.
Following a nod from chairman Pakistan Tehrik i Insaf, Imran Khan, party leaders Pervez Khattak and Azam Swati met with deputy head of Jamaat e Islami Siraj ul Haq to finalize the matter.
After the coalition of both the parties and independent candidates, they have support of 52 candidates of the provincial assembly.
PTI and JI alliance: time to time after polls day
Now its nearly confirmed that Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf is all set to form its government north-west province of the country, Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa, where it has majority of the seats.
PTI chairman Imran Khan, injured in a rally after falling down from a lifter, has contacted deputy head of Jamaat e Islami Pakistan, Sirajul Haq to discuss the formation of the government.
Siraj is a prominent personality from the province and played an important role for its party in getting seven seats from the provincial assembly.
Both of the leaders discussed the formation of the government. After the contact from Khan it is now nearly confirmed that both of the parties are likely to form next government in KPK with the help of independent candidates.

Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf has officially contacted Jamaat e Islami to form its government in north-west province of the country, Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa.
Talking in capital city of the province, PTI provincial president Asad Qaiser says his party has 34 seats in the provincial assembly, so the formation of the government will be done by it.
“Deputy head of JI, Siraj ul Haq, has been contact for the formation of the government.”
JI has seven seats in the assembly and has close contact with Imran Khan’s party.
Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Syed Munawar Hasan has announced to support Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the formation of provincial setup in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province.
According to local media, JI chief said that PTI has constitutional and moral right to form their provincial government in KPK as it has taken majority seats.
He said that JI will warmly welcome PTI officials if they contact them in this regard.
It must be noticed that PTI is emerged as the biggest elected political party while Jamiat Ulema Islam Fazal (JUI-F) is the second major elected party in KPK province.
Moreover, JUI-F has taken 9 seats in KPK’s provincial assembly while PTI has won over 34 provincial seats.
