MIRANSHAH: At least four people were killed and 21 others injured in two blasts in North Waziristan, here on Friday.
Sources said the explosives were planted on a motorcycle, in the Khuwaja Jan Chowk, and went off in the rush hours, raising fear of escalation in the death toll. The injured were shifted to district headquarter hospital for treatment.
According to the eye witnesses, a passenger coach was the target of the attack, intended to cause mass destruction.
The region has been high volatile in the recent past, as two security personnel were killed and three others were injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Kam Sarobi area of the NW agency.
Moreover, on April 21, four security personnel were killed while four others injured in a road-side bomb attack in the troubled region.
Another blast
Another blast has shattered the short-term peace in the area, spreading extreme panic in the area. A private news channel reported that bodies can be seen spread on the scene of the blast and hospitals.
The number of those killed in the second incident has not yet been ascertained.
