CHARSADDA: Two people were injured as gunshots were fired outside the residence of ANP, here on Wednesday.
The incident took place in the Batgram area of Pakistan’s northwest province Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, wherein luckily, no loss to life or public property was reported.
The residence belonged to Masoom Shah, candidate of the political party from PK 22 constituency.
Yesterday, son and driver of a Jamat-e-Islami’s candidate were killed and four others injured in Upper Dir, while six PPP campaigners died of blast which took place in Lower Dir area of the province.
Moreover, just recently, more than 25 people were killed and over 100 injured in two separate attacks on JUI-F election rallies.
The security agencies and other authorities face an uphill task to ensure smooth elections on May 11, the day scheduled for polls.
