KARACHI: Pakistan has finally found a ‘king of speed’ during a fast bowling camp held under the supervision of legendry pacer Wasim Akram in Karachi.
Ahmed Jamal, a tall young fast bowler from Abbottabad district, delivered the ball with speed of 143 kilometre per hour and won the competition.
Fast bowler from across the country participated in the camp at National Stadium of Karachi. Several prominent former Test cricketer and Nabila Maqsood, the hair stylist, also visited the camp and taught the youngsters.
During the last day of the camp, Nabila taught the cricketers as how to make their look better during the game.
Ufone, the leading cellular service provider in the country, gave Rs one million cash prize to Jamal for throwing the ball with fastest speed of 143 kilometre per hour.
Jamal, while talking to reporters, said that he was happy to win the ‘king of speed’ title, adding that Shoaib Akhtar, the fastest bowler in the world, is his ideal pacer.
