Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) has announced to observe mourning day on Friday across the Sindh province, following what it said killings and injuries of its workers as a result of Thursday’s blast at its election office in Karachi.
At least five people have been killed and 14 others injured after an explosive device went-off near the party’s election office in North Nazimabad area of the city.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the party’s coordination committee announced to observe Friday as the day of mourning over continuous killings of activists.
It also appealed transporters, traders and the citizens to suspend activities across the province in response of the cowardly attack on its office.
