ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Interior Minister Malik Habib has said that the draft to legalise the voting rights to overseas Pakistanis has been prepared.
Talking to media after meeting with the officials of the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), Habib said that they had deeply discussed the security matters with the ECP.
He said that they had made a complete security plan for the election. “We will take strict measures to ensure security for the election.”
He said that the security situation was being worsened in Karachi city, adding that he would visit the metropolis on (today) Monday.
“I will meet the security officials and leaders of the political parties in the city during the visit.”
He added that he would also visit the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after Karachi and meet with the Awami National Party (ANP) leaders.
