LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Friday rejected the plea, seeking disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.
A voter Ms Amina Khan has challenged the acceptance of Khan’s nomination papers for a national assembly seat NA-122, Lahore.
The petitioner alleged that Imran Khan had relation with a European woman Sita White and had also a daughter out of that relation. She said a court of California in USA had also verified the relation between Imran Khan and White and fatherhood of their daughter. The petitioner alleged that Jamaima Khan, former wife of Imran Khan, was no more a Muslim but still had the custody of his two kids.
On Thursday directed the petitioner to produce the copy of decision passed by an American court against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan.
However, the bench on Friday (today) rejected all the pleas against the cricketer turned politicians and allowed him to contest the election.
Pakistan is all set to hold its general election on May 11 which will be a first democratic transition of power in the history of the country.
