Karachi: Some unidentified men on Tuesday opened fire on the car in Saddar Town area of Karachi, a metropolitan of Pakistan, killing a senior police official.
According to sources, Station House Officer (SHO) Preedy Agha Asad critically injured in the attack carried out by assailants in Murshid Bazar area of Saddar but he later succumbed to his injuries on his way to the hospital.
Senior police officials have confirmed the death of Agha Asad, saying that his death was loss of a devoted policeman for the department.
Police and law enforcement authorities have started search for the culprits.
