KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday granted 10 days protective bail to former Minister for Commerce Amin Fahim in NICL scam case.
The SHC, approving the bail plea, has ordered the minister to submit Rs 0.5 million surety bond.
NICL scam case: Amin Fahim seeks protective bail
Fahim filed the petition, seeking protective bail in the case earlier on today after a provincial anti-corruption court issued non-bailable arrest warrants against him and seven others in the case on Monday.
In the petition, filed by Fahim through his counsel, the former minister prayed the court to grant him two-week protective bails as he was out of the country.
Fahim said that he would come back to Pakistan on April 17.
Fahim, who recently kicked off his election campaign by addressing a public meeting in Bhanote, faces disqualification if convicted in the case.
