Lahore: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf leader Sardar Asif Ahmed Ali has decided to contest next elections as an independent candidate after the party awarded ticket from the Kasur constituency to another party’s stalwart Khurshid Kasuri.
Speaking to media, the PTI leader said that Imran Khan has not fulfilled his promise of giving him the ticket from Kasur instead the ticket from different constituencies of the area was given to Khurshid Kasuri.
“Imran Khan told me five times that those leaders who had quit assembly seats after joining PTI would contest elections on behalf of the party from their respective constituencies,” he said adding that he later betrayed from his promise.
Sardar Asif said that now Imran had betrayed from his promise so he was not bind to keep his promise of loyalty towards Khan.
He further announced that he would contest upcoming elections from two constituencies of Kasur as an independent candidate.
