Lahore: Punjab Caretaker Chief Minister Najam Sethi on Friday took notice of attack on a Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) leader and election candidate in Gujranwala district of the province.
Sethi has ordered the police to provide with report over the incident.
Earlier, JI leader Bilal Qudrat and his fellow were shot and injured in a attack by unidentified men in the district.
Rescue sources said that Qudrat received two bullet injuries in the attack.
Qudrat is also a senior leader of the JI and election candidate on the district’s constituency.
