Durban: South Africa on Thursday set 235 runs target against Pakistan to win the third One-day International (ODI) and level the five-match series 2-2.
The hosts were dealt an early blow when they lost two wickets in the first two balls as seamer Mohammad Irfan, who stands 7ft 1in, had a strong start by dismissing Hashim Amla and Colin Ingram.
Despite being 0-2, the Proteas managed to get back on track with AB De Villiers, who was able to weather the storm and reach 75 runs before getting dismissed by Saeed Ajmal.
David Miller, who was taken out prior to the wicket of De Villiers, also contributed with 67, while Ryan McLaren (11), Roy Kleinveldt (18) and Robin Petersen (25 not out) also added to the run-rate.
Irfan and Ajmal took three wickets each for Pakistan.
