Quetta: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam has decided to move the Supreme Court of Pakistan over the issue of opposition leader in the Balochistan Assembly.
A divisional bench of the Balochistan High Court (BHC) rejected an earlier notification by Speaker Balochistan Assembly Matiullah Agha regarding the appointment of Maulana Wasay of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) and restored Nawabzada Tariq Magsi as the opposition leader in the provincial assembly.
Addressing an event organised by the Balochistan Bar Association on Wendnesday (today), JUI-F’s provincial Amir Senator Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani said that his party would challenged the BHC decision in the country’s apex court.
He said that it was they constitutional right to move the apex court over the issue.
