IPOH, Malaysia: After being ruled out of the final of the Azlan Shah Cup, Pakistan failed to secure a spot for the third-fourth playoff as their last pool match with South Korea ended in a 2-2 draw.
The first half ended with Pakistan leading 1-0 as Salman Hussain scored a goal in the 16th minute for green shirts.
The Koreans came strong in the second half as Hyun Hye levelled the score.
But Pakistan were again leading 2-1 after Haseem Khan deflected in a cross in the 47th minute.
Pakistan’s own goal in the 53rd minute helped the opponents levelling the score once again.
Pakistan are likely play against India on Sunday for the fifth place.
