Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Parliamentarian and Federal Minister Sheikh Waqas Akram on Thursday announced to join Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
Akram met Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and other leaders here at the PML-N secretariat.
Speaking to media after the meeting, Sharif welcomed Akram into the party and announced to establish a public university in Jhang, the constituency of Akram.
Akram said that he basically had a Muslim Leagues’ mindset, adding that he would work for the prosperity of the country and the success of the PML-N.
He said that the PML-N had removed all his reservations before the joining.
Moreover, sources said that two other leaders, including Riaz Fatiyana and Faisal Saleh Hayat, were also likely to join the PML-N.
