Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) formed a committee on Thursday to present a code of conduct for media before the electoral body.
According to official sources after reservations expressed by journalist associations over the proposed code of conduct for media during the upcoming elections, the ECP formed the committee—headed by Election Commission Secretary Ishtiaq Ahmed Khan—which would present unanimous code of conduct.
ECP was considering to extend stay of foreign observers in Pakistan from one week to six weeks. ECP would hold a briefing in this regard on Monday.
