Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday proposed dates to the government for the coming elections in the country.
Director General ECP Syed Sher Afgan said that the commission has proposed May 8 and 9 as the dates for polling, but added that the final decision would be made by President Asif Ali Zardari.
He said that the elections would be held 21 days after the final list of the candidates was issued.
