Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday issued a code of conduct for international observers and security personnel during the general polls.
The code of conduct states that the international observers would be bound to follow Pakistan’s law. It further states that the observers will also not be allowed to talk with media as an individual.
Furthermore, the security personnel will responsible of the security during the shifting of polling material.
The ECP has imposed ban over the entrance of security personnel inside to polling stations, however they would only be able to enter on the directions of returning officer or presiding officer directed.
“Senior citisens and handicapped people would not be bound to stand in the queue to cast vote,” the code states.
