Islamabad: Pakistan’s Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry on Monday took suo moto notice of the blast in Karachi’s Abbas Town.
A powerful car blast in the town, mainly populated with Shi’tes, on Sunday evening killed at least 45 people and injured over 140 others. Most of the people killed in blast were the member of Shi’te community.
The country’s top court has issued notices to the Sindh Advocate General and Inspector General Police for March 6 to submit their report pertaining to the blast.
