Karachi: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Jamaat Islami (JI) delegation called on Fakhruddin G Ibrahim, the country’s Chief Election Commissioner (CEC), here Karachi on Wednesday.
The delegation has demanded the CEC to deploy army security on polling stations in the general election and implement the court regarding delimitation of the city’s constituencies.
Speaking to media after the meeting, Liaquat Jatoi said that they had provided evidences to the CEC pertaining to the rigging in by-polls on SA-73 constituency of the Sindh Assembly.
“We have demanded him to appoint presiding officer outside their districts in the general election to ensure free and fair polls,” he said.
