Islamabad: Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has written letters to the United Kingdom and the United States for the arrests of three accused in a National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) case.
The case involved a corruption of Rs5 billion.
Authorities also cancelled the passports of the three accused—former trade secretary Muhammad Javed, NICL director Amin Qasim Dada and Khalid Anwar.
Director FIA Sindh Muhammad Malik told a local news channel that Anwar holds passports of both Pakistan and the US, and currently living in the latter.
Malik said that Qasim Dada and Javed are presently in the UK.
The agency has written letters to the US and the UK authorities to extradite the accused and sought Interpol’s helps in this regard.
