Faisalabad: Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) Central Deputy Head Malik Ishaq has surrendered himself in front of police in Rahimyar Khan, a district of Pakistan’s Punjab province on Thursday.
According to sources, Punjab police had issued arrest warrants of the ASWJ leader, whom the Shiite community of Quetta has accused of being involved in the deadly bombings in the city that killed more than 200 people in 40 days.
Both the bombings were claimed by a banned out Lashkar-i-Jhangvi (LeJ).
Speaking to media after his arrest, Ishaq said that he has no link with the Quetta bombings and he would challenge his arrest in the court.
