Jacobabad: At least one person was killed and 10 others injured after a blast ripped through a religious gathering in Jacobabad, a district of Pakistan’s Sindh province.
According to sources, the blast ripped through a of gathering of the spiritual leader of Qambar, Syed Hussain Shah in Goth Ahmed Din Brohi of the district, killing Syed Shafi Shah, the grand son of the leader, and injuring 10 others.
According to SSP Police, the blast occurred soon after Syed Hussain Shah, who had millions of followers in Sindh and Balochistan, arrived at the site of the gathering but he remained unharmed in the attack.
The bodies and injured have been shifted to a local hospital in the district while police have cordoned of the area and started collecting evidences from the spot.
Meanwhile, the followers of the spiritual leader has started to gather outside his residence while fear has gripped the area and the markets in the surroundings were closed.
