Lahore; Customers of Ufone and PTCL have not been getting services of telephony and broadband in central cities due to technical fault in the network.
The telephony and broadband services of Ufone and PTCL has been disrupted in central cities for many hours from Monday’s evening to Tuesday’s morning due to optic fiber cut.
Sources in the PTCL said that optic fiber has been reported disconnected between the cities of Gujrawala and Sialkot which caused outage of mobile phone, landline, broadband services of Ufone and PTCL.
There was a total blackout of the Ufone services in 55 destinations covered by cellular sites after the backup support from PTCL network was stopped by optic fiber hit by severe damages.
Besides services rendered by PTCL such as landline, broadband and smart tv had been stopped for many hours in different areas.
The technical teams have been deployed to repair the damages of optic fiber and the services will be hopefully restored with the restoration of network, sources said.
