Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry on Monday took notice of the deadly blast at Kirani road area of Quetta, a metropolitan of Pakistan.
The blast claimed lives of at least 89 people including women and children. The blast once again targeted the Shiite community which was also targeted almost a month before in Alamadar road blast in Quetta which claimed lives of almost 91 people, all belonging to Hazara community.
According to Registrar SC, the proceedings of the case will begin in open court on Tuesday (tomorrow). A three member bench presided by CJP Iftikhar would hear the proceedings.
The CJP took notice of the incident after a letter was conveyed to him through the registrar office of the apex court. The letter said that the Shiite community was protesting over the killings but none of the authorities have took action on the brutal killings.
The apex court also summoned Attorney General of Pakistan Irfan Qadir and Advocate General of Balochistan tomorrow for the proceedings.
